Describe yourself

I hail from the great state of Colorado, and though our visibility on the tech scene is moderate, we consider ourselves the the Silicon Mountain of the US. I've been in government as an economic development and IT policy advisor for the governor there for the last few years. As such, I've spent a lot of time thinking about how technology can be used to deliver services to citizens at a lower cost with greater accuracy. This effort has led to me ideating technological solutions to problems outside the sphere of government.

In particular, I'm passionately curious about the application of mobile devices and 3-D cameras and printers.

One important strength is my ability to network and make connections that are beneficial for all parties. In government, I was primarily a horizontal communicator among the different siloes in government. I have a knack for ideating solutions for some problem with current products or services. Thought I do not have a technical background, I am interested in developing my repertoire in that area, or perhaps recruiting a technologist to cocreate prospective products.
