Describe yourself

I am a hacker at heart and a markets person at mind who thinks technology is the coolest thing to work on and markets are the greatest way to make a change in the world. I am driven by creativity, design and simplicity.

I care deeply about limits to growth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Limits_to_Growth) and want to create tools that help us measure our needs and monitor our consumption, so that we do not stress our earth with overconsumption or waste.

I am a big believer in mass movements and excited about the new Maker movement (http://tinyurl.com/9ofyvmv). I ardently believe that the next wave of creativity is to be unlocked through democratization of hardware tools such as 3D modeling, object recognition and 3D printing.

Tech Chops: I have experience writing engineering grade software code particularly in the area of machine vision, 3D object modeling and manipulation, and car crash simulations. I created a 50-pound robot for my college’s new Mechatronics lab and wrote image recognition code for robots navigating in nuclear sites. I have created software to test crashworthiness of aluminum cars and received a finalist spot in a collegiate car design competition. I also won the most innovative design award at my college’s tech festival. Also, I am on a roll! - Last summer I rigged a toy car to make it collision avoiding and currently, I am working with Kinect (Microsoft) and MIT media lab’s sixth sense gesture interface to develop a virtual 3D fitting room and a grocery image recognition for a health app.

I went to IIT Guwahati in India for undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. At Kellogg, I am a 1Y student focusing on Entrepreneurship and Marketing.

Reason here:   Build a company

I am interested in NUvention Web
